i am counting the first two days of this weight loss plan a semi-success. semi because the first day, i did get up and do the three mile walk away the pounds workout, but didn't argue a bit about going out to lunch with a coworker, and my evening dedication to low calorie eating was to have the small blizzard when my partner suggested dairy queen. yesterday, i did extremely well with my food plan, but only made it through the warm up and the first 3-4 minutes of the walking tape. dang - 3 miles the day before really killed me! but i did pull out a 30 minute flexibility stretching video and did that. nothing says dang, woman, you've gotten fat like finding out how much your stomach gets in the way of a few simple stretching exercises.
onward. last night was a scorcher, so we put an air mattress in the livingroom. slept great - but now there is no place to exercise. it's going to be horribly hot today, and i have to go to work late (taking said partner to have a tooth pulled this morning) so i'll likely skip lunch. maybe we can go to the pool for a bit tonight - that would at least be something.
have to remember that this 57 year old body is not going to lose weight the way it did 10 years ago. i am fast discovering that if i don't do something now, i'm not going to be able to keep up. when my daughter and grandson were here to visit, what worried me the most about any of our plans was how long do i have to be on my feet at any one location - my feet and back start to hurt. that needs to change.
this will be part self coaching, part idea storage, part diet and exercise journal. maybe imagining thousands of readers will keep me accountable ;)
